To worship in spirit and truth

Pena after a long time I will have to write a complaint but with his hands. I know that this type of comment makes me terribly unpopular. But "I am a friend of Socrates, but the truth s friend."

is not, however, a simple complaint, but "the zeal of your house consumes me." I can not bear to see so much lack of control and lack of sense in what I see, especially in reference to the liturgy, the center of our lives.

Before, I would like to clarify in simple and not so learned or gimmicky words why the liturgy is the center of our lives and the Church:
  1. Because it is the sacrifice of Christ, perpetuated for ever, left by himself to make us partakers of His divine life. That means that the Eucharistic Sacrifice is not a human invention or anything, but it is foreshadowing of the Divine Liturgy, a foretaste of heavenly things-that's why it do not have much to do with our fashion and worldly tastes.

  2. Because we can say, contrary to the Protestant-that Jesus Christ is really present in the Eucharist. That means that while not concerned with our external transport, that does not mean we we should not worry about that. I'm sure the Pope will not worry for me in sportswear or too short for him in his office, knowing that he is humble, but I would be a total idiot if I submit like that in front of him. How much more before God?

Given these two things, I must say that today we see more and more incredible abuse of trust and closeness to God. No one respects him. This issue of "heart religion" is coming increasingly to the absolute limits, and we see directly into the liturgy. The liturgy should not only engage the heart, but the whole body: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength . But to see so much slack in the care of the liturgy, the exterior size, in the "things above", it seems that we love him with all our strength.

Pictured above: a semi-breasted women out receiving communion in a Minister of Communion from a chalice that looks more like one of those aluminum vazos to drink beer in a poky old town in the interior. None of solemnity, no care, no worship. What the minister is offering? Some kind of cookie or sweetbreads? No sir! Is the Body of Christ. For the tycoons and princes of this world feel at the top, but it receives Christ in hand, without reverence, without solemnity, it holds in any container and gives it to anyone.

But do not think that I am a traditionalist sour. The next picture shows a mass celebrated in Summer Beats (a giant party DJs organized Catholics in Brazil) where you see a lot more care and attention. I liked it. And it seems more worthy.

But back to the first picture. Now ask: If Christ is present even in the particles of the Eucharist, you know what will happen next with the particles remaining in the hand of this woman? For the Eucharistic Christ will go to the place where this woman put her hand. What if he falls to the ground? And no one will pick it up until it is stuck to the sole of the shoe of someone. What if it takes the hair with your hands? And the particle of the body of Jesus Christ will be there until it swept the bath shower and go to stop the drain. And I'm not exaggerating. Thank God that Eucharistic bread, when it ceases to be bread-within minutes of wet-ceases to be the Body of Christ. God is wise and that comforts me.

Zeal for your house consumes me and I can not be quiet while watching as the people of God did not discover the greatness of his treasure, the Eucharist, because their own pastors are lazy and inconsistent, more concerned with his reputation than his Lord . But even here the issue.

May God bless us and not lead to the holy mountain, for knowing as we worship in spirit and "true" (error volunteer).

Concierto de Aranjuez / Spain

While Spain by Chick Corea takes only Adagio from Concierto de Aranjuez as an introduction, could not miss the opportunity to show the previous documentary.

Spain is a fusion jazz instrumental composition and best known part of Chick Corea, and considered a standard of modern jazz. Korea was composed in 1971 and reflected in the album Light as a Feather accompanied by Airto Moreira (drums), Flora Purim (vocals, percussion), Stanley Clarke (bass) and Joe Farrell (flute).

"If there's one song that listeners recognize me better I think this song is" Spain ", and that is where I have more orders and listen to cite more than others. I wrote it in 1971 and often played RTF and others of my bands. " Chick Corea

This piece has been adapted and Chick Corea reharmonizations many times, reinventing it in every concert disc and presents. There are many great versions highlighting the extraordinary performance at the Palau de Barcelona Jorge Pardo (sax and flute), Carles Benavent (electric bass), Rubem Dantas (percussion), Tom Brechlein (drums) and dancers Auxi Fernandez and Tommy.

Part 2 Part 3

An interpretation that has captivated me is the one that makes Korea Hiromi Uehara piano duet. Trained child prodigy in classical piano, has an encounter with Chick Corea when she was only 17 years, which definitely changed the trend towards jazz. Shortly after traveling to the prestigious Berklee school in Boston, USA to develop his talents as a pianist and composer.

Their first album was a revelation for the jazz scene and made her the most important virtuoso in his instrument in style. His debut, Another Mind (2003), is a great album where so sensational shows his great gifts as a pianist, but even more, the amazing compositions that this timid Asian then only 23, was capable of doing. Compositions both in quality and speed, may be expected from musicians with vast experience in the genre. Then came an album with funky colors, Brain (2004), and one more focused on jazz ballads, Spiral (2005), both also top quality. Hiromi

simplementejazz.blogspot explained in duets album: "Ten years pasron and the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2006 played with Chick again. After the show, suggested to record a CD together. I was speechless for a minute ... A year we had three nights of musical treasure hunt at the Blue Note Tokuo. I was inspired I enjoyed it and learned something every second. "Hiromi Uehara

Enjoy.

Teen Spirit Spiritual

Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana

Many consider" Smells Like Teen Spirit " as the anthem of the nineties, and even more, as the anthem of Generation X. Launched in 1991, the song came in a music scene that saw the end of the popularity of hair metal of the eighties. The song, accompanied by his famous music video, talked about a picture of teenage rebellion that was very well received by its audience. It is considered with great unanimity to "Teen Spirit" as the song's most famous grunge genre, and its popularity opened doors to many bands of this genre.

In Heavier Than Heaven, Kurt Cobain biography written by Charles Cross says that the song refers to the breakdown of Tobi Vail with Kurt. This argument is based on several letters published in the book about Cobain's journals (Journals) and "Why do not you cry when I'm here / Oh do want what is best for you" and "Who will be the King and Queen repressed teens. "

But Cobain did not believe that the letters had a specific meaning. In an interview with the music channel MTV said: "I realize that people expect ... a thematic angle with our music, you know - they want to" read ". But what I did was to put pieces of poetry and garbage only stuff I loved then, and often write lyrics only at the last minute because I'm lazy, so ... then do not understand why people try to seek some meaning ... " Cobain did not use this as an example of how your letters may not have any meaning, but as proof that a song does not necessarily have any meaning (like "Smells Like Teen Spirit", with a break, or a "revolution " - How has generally been suggested). Another possible interpretation of the letters was made by bassist Krist Novoselic Kurt hated 'mainstream'. That was the 'Teen Spirit'. Conformist mentality of the people "

" Teen Spirit "is a U.S. deodorant sell the company Colgate-Palmolive. Cobain took the name of the song when a friend, Kathleen Hanna, lead singer of the punk band Bikini Kill, spray painted "Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit" on his wall. Because they were talking about anarchy, punk rock and similar topics, Cobain took it as a slogan for this cause. The true meaning of the message of Hanna, was that Kurt smelled like deodorant that Vail (By then girlfriend and bandmate Cobain Hanna) used, meaning that Kurt smelled like a woman. Cobain claimed that he knew it was a deodorant, and finally was in a bad mood because a product was mentioned in the song. In the months following the success of the song, Colgate-Palmolive created an ad campaign to try to make some profit by the connection.

Swings Like Teen Spirit

usually listen covers of old songs with modern rhythms (sometimes all versions old and soft or pop). But how does one hear a song from the grunge of the nineties, the generation of depression, no direction, no future and in the chaos, when it is the roaring of the swing, where modernity and the future were bright? Paul Anka

out of context the song, and although the letter still does not make any sense, becomes a vulgarity. Surrounded by great musicians and a musical arrangement of high quality, it seems that the song was written four decades ago. High is the ease with which he sings Hello, hello and spread the slam, I mean swing.

Smells Like Nirvana

And I could not miss the parody of Weird Al Yankovic, mocking not even understand the lyrics, or what he sings Kurt Cobain.
