The European Commission is about mobile Internet roaming

EU Telecoms Commissioner Neelie Kroes has decided to impose price ceilings for mobile Internet services in roaming , after realizing that, despite many warnings released from Brussels in recent months, carriers have not moved to their customers the price decreases wholesalers.

currently no regulated maximum price for the use of mobile Internet users outside the country, while the EU average rate at about 2.5 euros per Megabyte . Therefore, the Commission wants to introduce a cap of EUR 0.9 Mega from July 1, 2012 , which is reduced to € 0.7 in July 2013 and 0.5 euros in July 2014.

addition, Brussels wants to force telephone companies to sell services wholesale roaming virtual operators, to enable them to offer their customers. The commission will propose that mobile users entitled to purchase from roaming to a different operator who have contracted without having to change the number.
