Pena after a long time I will have to write a complaint but with his hands. I know that this type of comment makes me terribly unpopular. But "I am a friend of Socrates, but the truth s friend."
is not, however, a simple complaint, but "the zeal of your house consumes me." I can not bear to see so much lack of control and lack of sense in what I see, especially in reference to the liturgy, the center of our lives.
Before, I would like to clarify in simple and not so learned or gimmicky words why the liturgy is the center of our lives and the Church:
- Because it is the sacrifice of Christ, perpetuated for ever, left by himself to make us partakers of His divine life. That means that the Eucharistic Sacrifice is not a human invention or anything, but it is foreshadowing of the Divine Liturgy, a foretaste of heavenly things-that's why it do not have much to do with our fashion and worldly tastes.
- Because we can say, contrary to the Protestant-that Jesus Christ is really present in the Eucharist. That means that while not concerned with our external transport, that does not mean we we should not worry about that. I'm sure the Pope will not worry for me in sportswear or too short for him in his office, knowing that he is humble, but I would be a total idiot if I submit like that in front of him. How much more before God?
Given these two things, I must say that today we see more and more incredible abuse of trust and closeness to God. No one respects him. This issue of "heart religion" is coming increasingly to the absolute limits, and we see directly into the liturgy. The liturgy should not only engage the heart, but the whole body: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength . But to see so much slack in the care of the liturgy, the exterior size, in the "things above", it seems that we love him with all our strength.
Pictured above: a semi-breasted women out receiving communion in a Minister of Communion from a chalice that looks more like one of those aluminum vazos to drink beer in a poky old town in the interior. None of solemnity, no care, no worship. What the minister is offering? Some kind of cookie or sweetbreads? No sir! Is the Body of Christ. For the tycoons and princes of this world feel at the top, but it receives Christ in hand, without reverence, without solemnity, it holds in any container and gives it to anyone.
But do not think that I am a traditionalist sour. The next picture shows a mass celebrated in Summer Beats (a giant party DJs organized Catholics in Brazil) where you see a lot more care and attention. I liked it. And it seems more worthy.
But back to the first picture. Now ask: If Christ is present even in the particles of the Eucharist, you know what will happen next with the particles remaining in the hand of this woman? For the Eucharistic Christ will go to the place where this woman put her hand. What if he falls to the ground? And no one will pick it up until it is stuck to the sole of the shoe of someone. What if it takes the hair with your hands? And the particle of the body of Jesus Christ will be there until it swept the bath shower and go to stop the drain. And I'm not exaggerating. Thank God that Eucharistic bread, when it ceases to be bread-within minutes of wet-ceases to be the Body of Christ. God is wise and that comforts me.
Zeal for your house consumes me and I can not be quiet while watching as the people of God did not discover the greatness of his treasure, the Eucharist, because their own pastors are lazy and inconsistent, more concerned with his reputation than his Lord . But even here the issue.
May God bless us and not lead to the holy mountain, for knowing as we worship in spirit and "true" (error volunteer).
